hello peoples.
my mommy let me join this forum.
her name on this is bittersweet.
Afrothunder,
First off, Love the name Welcome to the board, prepare to meet great people and make new friends.
I never had a birthday party untill i was 32 years old. I was raised a JW and told that the date of my birth was unimportant and celebrating it was self worship. I was also told that I would be sheppherding lambs and lions, and that I would never grow old.
You sound like a smart kid, what do you think. If your dad is still a wittness, just pray for him to "see" what is really going on. Perhaps in time he'll see the truth for what it is. Till then respect and honor him as your father. When you are old enough to leave home you can make your stand for what you believe to be right. Then you can have a huge party and make up for all the ones you missed.
Don't forget to invite me!

i haven't seen you posting here lately, and i just wondered if everything is ok?.
i've always considered you my best friend.
but lately i've been thinking about a lot of things, and it occurred to me: you've never said one word to me in my entire life, even though i've sent you thousands of messages; not exactly what friends do to each other.
TR, will you give God a discount on your book?Craig if I thought he'd read it I'd personaly deliver it. The hero in the story struggles with his need to do what's right and moral in a difficult situation. At times he is forced to swallow his pride and take care of business. Kinda like what we have to do in our daily lives.
I just want him to know that even thought he chooses not to take an active roll in my life, I choose to live what I consider to be a godly lifestyle. I love my family, I protect my kids and I do no harm to others. If an imperfect lout such as myself can find the time to do the right thing, I would think the Almighty could do the same.
I don't mean to piss anyone off, but the whole thing reminds me of a neighbor who has unruly teenagers and hides in the house because they're ashamed of their failure.

omg......................how did i last 12 years in that mindless cult????????.
i had the opportunity over the weekend to talk to a couple of dubs, not by choice, but rather by misfortune.
why i say misfortune is because of the dumb conversations that took place with them.
I can't relate to your situation. every time I see some one from our old hall, they run like mad in the opposite direction. I know Sheila ran them off the front lawn a few years ago when I was very ill, but I never threatened any of them personaly. How any of them could in any way defend the WTS treatment of and dealings with child abusers is beyond the realm of reasonable thought. A bunch of people that are that moraly corrupt need a reality check hard and fast.
Like Jgnat said, the air is much fresher where I am now.

i thought this was just toooooooooo cute, i have to share.
we were leaving a birthday party (my step-nephew turned 3 today).
i stopped by the beer store to pick up a 12 pack for my boyfriend.
Great story Jes. Sounds like you got your own little hero there.
Let him know everyday how proud you are that he looks out for his mom.
It will make him grow up to be a good man.

i hope you like it!
Color Me Impressed!
Vash,
I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed reading "Thunder Rider's Burden". I am flattered beyond description that you took the time to creat the fan art. That is just something I never even considered might happen. Your rendition of Harley and Liesh is wonderful. I love it! Is it all right if I print it off? I'd like to put it on our cork board with my first royalty check ($7.43) and my newspaper articles. If I'm thinking right, Vash you are my youngest reader to date. I'd love for you to put a review on our site and sign our guest book.
Cassie,
You and Vash just had to brung old Thunder to his knees. My own parents wouldn't even acknowledge my accomplishment, yet you have taken my dream and added your own 2 cents, making it that much more special to me. Your art work is incredible. I would also ask you if I might pritn your art work off to put on my cork baord? I've seen some of your other artwork, i'd like to ask a favor of you. Check your personal messages.
Girls,
I'm going to ask our webmaster to change the site WWW.Thunderridersburden.com, to include a fan art page. I would then love it if you would post your work there.
You gals are great! Thank you so much. I'm glad i only have to type this response cause I'm a little choked up right now. I hope that everyone that reads it will feel the way you do.

so here i was this evening, reading the old familiar matthew 24 with the kids before bedtime, but i was reading out of our very nice contemporary parallel new testament, specifically the message version, and i had this sudden realization: jesus didn't give us a really complicated, mysterious prophecy that had different types and antitypes -- he was simply continuing his original message (love your neighbor, love god).
remember verse 12 about the love of the many cooling off?
the verse right after that talks about enduring to the end.
I like simple. Simple is good.
Thanx Nina
If I didn't write it I don't venture to interpet it.

Ona,
If you get a hold of him, could you tell him I need to speak with him? I've left messages but haven't heard back.
I'd like to get him a copy of my book.

i listen to her regularly.
i don't always agree w. her but usually have to admit that she is right from a moral standpoint.
god knows we need more of that in this world!.
I listen to her show a lot. Lately there have been quite a few calls from xjw's. Her reaction to the calls is usualy one of disbelief and outrage at the callous and uncaring attitudes demonstrated to the callers.
Her little motto is "Go do the right thing". I think she's on to something. Isn't it just that simple?

hey folks, not to send chills through anyones spine, but it has come to my attention, there was a former member to this forum that seems to be causing some members (women) some problems and unnecessary grief.

That nut sent Sheila 5 more e-mails last night around 2 in the morning. I think he might know where we live. We have notified the authorities about this because of the violent nature of his e-mails.
Don't worry though. We have several dogs and lots of swords. Sheila's sister is coming into town for Anthony's graduation today so she will be away from home most of the day. She won't be alone at all for a while, I'll see to that.
Thanx for posting this thread Ray. Folks need to be reminded from time to time that there are some unsavory people out there.
Careful everyone.
